Want to give back to USW but not sure where to start? We’re happy to talk you through the range of volunteering options available and how to best to use your time to inspire our community.
There’s a place for everyone in the Volunteering Programme – whether you’ve only got a few minutes to spare or are able to commit a couple of hours from your schedule. Perhaps you’re overseas and would be keen to deliver remotely? Or, maybe you live here in South Wales and would be happy to visit us on campus when it’s safe to do so?
It’s not a one-way flow of value either, as alumni volunteers in business regularly report back on the benefits of welcoming student talent into their organisation.

Whether organising a reunion, being an integral part of an overseas alumni group or supporting our careers programming, there are plenty of ways you can remain involved with the University of South Wales.
Meet Sophie Simmonds (BSc Medical Sciences, 2017) who in 2017 was awarded the Alumni Award for Inspiring the Next Generation for her work volunteering with the Medical Prep Society. “It’s important to give back to a University that gave me so much.”

Register your interest to become involved with governance committees or step forward to help our international recruitment team at an upcoming in-country fair.
You’d like to support initiatives over time
Let us know that you’d like to join us as a mentor or become a reunion coordinator for your local region or class group.
You’re keen to get your business or place of work involved in the Programme
Facilitate internships or work placements at your organisation or step forward to share your entrepreneur experience or angel investment ideas.
